Object reference not set to an instance of an object

just installed this on my Sp2010Ent VM, but after filling out the Site Url, Domain, Username, Password and clicking "Get Metadata", I just get a popup message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object.".
I've pointed it at the root of my SP2010 site, which has a SP search associated with it.
Pointing it at my Sp2010 site, which has a FAST search associated with it, works just fine.
Any ideas?

Issue fixed with 1.3. The tool now supports a Sharepoint 2010 search environment without FAST.

I got the same problem.

My Web Application uses Claims Based Authentication, could this be an issue?

I have not tested with the Claims Based set up. Do you have FAST set up on the site you are trying to hit?

I have also not tested this without FAST in the environment. I will try this out and see if there is anything to fix for the next release.

I'm not use Claims based Auth.

I have two web apps set up. The first has some content, plus a standard Ent Search site and is associated with a standard SharePoint Search. This breaks the tool.
My second web app just has a FAST Search site and is associated with a FAST Query SSA. This works OK with the tool.

Let me know if there's any more info I can provide.

does it only work with FAST installed SPS 2010?

I've not used it since (and I've rebuilt my SP2010 VM since then).

I had a single SP2010Ent farm, with both SP Search and FAST Search Service Applications set up.

I had two Web Apps, one with SP Search enabled, the other with FAST Search enabled.

It only worked on the WebApp that had FAST Search enabled.
